Meaning of Implied Authority
A phrase peculiar to the law of agency and denotes such actual authority or powers as are directly connected with and essential to the business specifically designated to an agent. Also, the phrase denotes actual authority which is implied from circumstances and does not depend directly on any express grant of authority by principal . That authority given implicitly by a principal to his agent or as kind of authority arising solely from designation by principal of a kind of agent who ordinarily possesses certain powers. See Masuda v Kawaski Dockyard Co., (C.A.N.Y.) 28 F.2d 662.
