Meaning of Innocent Purchaser

One who, by an hones contract , purchases property without knowledge or means of knowledge sufficient to charge him in law with notice of any infirmity in title of seller ; such purchaser must not have any reasonable basis to suspec that the person from whom he purchase , the property did not have good title. See Simon v Travellers insurance Companies 378 N. Y.S.2d 870, 85 Misc.2d264.
