Meaning of Shock

A sudden agitation of the physical or mental abilities. where a person suffers shock or a severe mental disturbance as a result of the intentional or reckless conduct of the defendant , the defendant is liable , although where it is a result of the defendant’s negligence , the general view is that there is no liability . See Southern express Co. v Bvers, 240 U.S. 612, 36 S. Ct. 410, 60 L.Ed. 825.
