Meaning of Safe Place Of Work

under common law , a master is under a duty to provide a fit and proper place for his workmen to work in and a fit and proper system and suitable materials under and with which to work. If the master chooses to delegate this duty he is still liable to a workman who is injured by a breach of that duty.
