Meaning of Floating Charge
A form of charge , mortgage or pledge on the assets of a business , present and future, but which allows the chargor to deal with the assets in the usual course of business until the chargee intervenes when the charge is said to be crystallized. When that occurs, the charge attaches and is enforceable against all the assets of the business then available. See debenture .
