Meaning of Malicious Abuse Of Process

The improper use of process after same is issued, where probable cause exists for its issue but where the intent is to secure objects other than those intended by law. The misuse or perversion of court processes to accomplish ends which the process was not intended to effect or when the process is used to compel the defendant to do some collateral things which he could not lawfully be compelled to do. See Nolan v All state Home Equipment Co., (D. C.Mun.App.) 149 A.2d 426.
