Meaning of Lucid Interval

A temporary restoration to sanity . A period of time when a person who was insane has his intelligence restored long enough for him to fully understand the nature of his acts and responsibilities. An act done during a lucid interval is valid ; similarly, insanity is no defense if the offense was committed during a lucid interval.
