Meaning of Labor Agreement, Labor Contract

An individual contract which an employer may elect to make directly with employee which is not precluded by exclusive representation provisions of national labor Relations Act of 1935 aimed at preventing collective barÂgaining with anyone purporting to represent employees other than the duly selected representatives. See N.L.R.B. v Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp., 301 U.S. 1, 57 S. Ct. 615, 81 L.Ed. 803. Also see National Labor Relations Act of 1935, §9(a), 29 U.S.C.S. § 195(a).
