To save harmless; to secure against future loss or damage ; to make up for what is past; to make good; to reimburse . Also, to compensate for loss or injury ; to remunerate. The word has thus two meanings, one that of giving security and secondly of compensating for actual damage. See New York Cent. R. Co. v general Motors Corp., (D.C. Ohio) 182 F. Supp. 273.
