The right to recover something by means of a suit at law. See state v Miller, 272 A.2d539, 113 N.J.Super. 1. A chose in action can be assigned in four different ways: 1. a legal assignment of legal chose in action’; a legal assignment of equitable chose in action’; 3. an equitable assignment of legal chose in action’; 4. an equitable assignment of equitable chose in action.
