Meaning of Pairing

In generic sense, the term denotes the act of arranging by pairs; to come together as a couple or pair; to marry or mate. In the context of desegregation laws, the term means combining attendance areas of two schools and sending all students in certain grades to one of the schools and all students in other grades to the other school .
