Intermediate material in Global Commerce Policy
In this regard, intermediate material is: a term used in the rules of origin of NAFTA. The entries on trade policy are here. It means a material produced by the producer of a good and used in the production of that good. Such goods may be included in the calculation of the value of a product to make it qualify for preferential customs treatment under the Agreement.[1]
