Definition of In Vitro Fertilization
The Canada social science dictionary [1] provides the following meaning of In Vitro Fertilization: The fertilization of a human egg outside of the womb (usually in a laboratory dish). The fertilized egg is then implanted in the womb where normal development occurs.
