Meaning of Immediate Family

Includes, in addition to the spouse , the children and parents of a person . The phrase has been extended to include a sister . Golston v Lincoln cemetery , Inc., (Mo. App.) 573 S.W.2d 700; a brother Fisher v Hodge, 294 A.2d577,162 Conn. 363. The phrase has also been interpreted to mean a collective body of persons living together in one home in permanent and domestic character under one head. See Kingsley v Hawthorne Fabrics, Inc., 197 A.2d673, 41 N.J. 52.
