Definition of Gross National Product (GNP)

In relation to social issues, a meaning of gross national product (gnp) is provided here: is calculated by adjusting the GDP to include income accruing to domestic residents as a result of investments abroad minus the income earned in domestic markets accruing to foreigners abroad.
