Concept of “Error Juris Nocet”

Traditional meaning of error juris nocet in English (with some legal use of this latin concept in England and the United States in the XIX Century) [1]: (in Latin) An error of law injures [i. e.; the party committing it must suffer the consequences]. Error nominis nunquam nocet, si de identitate rei constat: an error in the name does no harm, if it be clear as to the identity of the thing itself. Error qui non resistitur, approbatur: an error which is not objected to is approved. Error scribentis nocere non debet: a mistake of the scribe should work no injury. Errore lapsus: an error through mistake; a false step.
