Meaning of Disfranchise

The act of depriving of a franchise , immunity or privilege . In election law, the voter is said to be disfranchised when he is denied the right by whatever means to vote or when he is permitted to vote but his vote, by reason of fraud , violence or other wrong is not counted as cast. See Scholl v Bell, 102 S. W. 248, 125 Ky. 750.
