Degressivity in Global Commerce Policy
In this regard, degressivity is: generally the principle that protection should be reduced over time. The entries on trade policy are here. It has been an issue particularly in the administration of safeguards where governments were supposed to initiate structural adjustment policies resulting in lower protection in the sectors given safeguard protection.
