A certain portion of every cask of wine imported by an alien, which the king”s butler was allowed to take. Called also “prisage.” 2 Bulst. 254. Anciently, it might be taken also of wine imported by a subject. 1 Bl. Comm. 315; Termes de la Ley; Cowell.
