What does Blackjack mean in American Law?
The definition of Blackjack in the law of the United States, as defined by the lexicographer Arthur Leff in his legal dictionary is:
A weapon made by encasing lead or other heavy metal in a leather pouch with a flexible handle. Used both by the bad guys and (occasionally) the police. It is usually deemed a “deadly weapon” for purposes of “assault with a deadly weapon.” Also, another name for the gambling game twenty-one.
