Meaning of Borrow
To take, receive or obtain something on a promise to return it in specie , unless the thing borrowed was money in which case the promise is to return an equal sum with or without interest .
Borrow Alternative Definition
To obtain the use of the property of another, with an agreement to return the same, ordinarily in specie, but where, as in case of money, the nature of the case does not admit of it, to return in kind. See 14 Neb. 381.
