Meaning of Collateral Agreement

An agreement which is independent, separate and distinct from the original agreement but which is consistent with the provisions of the original agreement and of such a nature that the parties could not reasonably be expected to embody in the original agreement. See Rinaudo v Bloom, 120 A.2d 184, 209 Md.l.
