A definition and brief description of Windtalkers in relation to national security is as follows:The code name given to the Navajo Indian code talkers employed by United States military intelligence during World War II. Agents developed several encryption methods and code systems during the war, but a code based on the ancient Navajo language was one of the most successful codes ever used. It remained unbroken throughout the course of the war.
