Structural impediments in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, a definition of this issue is as follows: structural features of an economy seen as impeding the emergence of fully competitive markets. These can result from inappropriate or excessive regulation, widespread use of subsidies, the existence of private or government monopolies, rigid labour markets, inadequate disciplines on restrictive business practices and other similar factors.[1]
