Meaning of Simple Licence

authority , without reward or consideration , to do a particular act or series of acts on another’s land without passing any interest in the land, and it need not be in writing . Such licence is revocable at the pleasure of the grantor , but revocation will not be allowed where the grantee has been induced to expend his means or money towards its enjoyment, without reimbursement for the expenditure . See Wynn v Garland, 19 Ark. 23, 68 Am. Dec. 190.
