SIECA in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, sieca is: Secretaría de Integración Económica Centroamericana. The Permanent Secretariat of the General Treaty on Central American Integration, located in Guatemala City. The General Treaty entered into force on 12 October 1961. The entries on trade policy are here. Its members are Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. The aims of SIECA were redefined in the Protocol of Guatemala to the General Treaty of 29 October 1993. They include, among others, the gradual establishment first of a free- trade area, then of a common commercial policy and a customs union and the free movement of factors of production.
