In civil law. Presumption of fact. This degree of proof is thus defined: “Non est ignorandum, probationem semiplenam earn esse, per quam rei gestae fides aliqua fit judici; non tamen tanta ut jure debeat in pronuncianda sententia earn sequi.” Mascardus, de Prob. vol. 1, quaest. 11, note 1, 4.
