Savings Bond Definition (in the Accounting Vocabulary)

The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants offers the following definition of Savings Bond in a way that is easy for anybody to understand: U.S. government BOND issued in face value denominations ranging from $50 to $10,000.

United States Tax Concept of U.S. Savings Bond Adjustment

An adjustment to your taxable interest on Schedule B for any interest on U.S. Savings Bonds that you have already reported and paid tax on as the interest was earned.
