Concept of Rotterdam Convention

In relation to securing dangerous material (in case of crisis or terrorism) a meaning of rotterdam convention may be outlined, in general regarding European law, as follows: Rotterdam Convention on the prior informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade (1998) Some banned or severely restricted chemicals and severely hazardous pesticide formulations might be listed in Annex III of the Convention, and subject to the Prior Informed Consent  (PIC) Procedure for imports and exports. National Authorities are appointed. The convention does not cover radioactive materials, wastes, chemical weapons.[1]
