Meaning of Rolled-up Plea

A plea available to a defendant in an action of libel and slander being a special plea of privilege , fair comment and criticism, alleging that the material and basic statements contained in the publication are true, and such statements are sufficient to constitute a reasonable basis for the inference made, the opinions expressed, and that the comment thereon is fair. See Bailey v Charleston Mail Asso., 126 W. Va. 297,27 S.E.2d837.
