Concept of Directive on the control of high-activity sealed radioactive sources and orphan sources
In relation to securing dangerous material (in case of crisis or terrorism) a meaning of directive on the control of high-activity sealed radioactive sources and orphan sources may be outlined, in general regarding European law, as follows: Council Directive 2003/122/EURATOM on the control of high-activity sealed radioactive sources and orphan sources. The Directive regulates marking and traceability of high activity sources, recovering of orphan sources. An international cooperation and information exchange system is scheduled, National competent Authorities are designated.[1]
