In this regard, prohibited subsidies is: a concept used in the WTO Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures to denote subsidies contingent on export performance or subsidies contingent on the use of domestic rather than imported goods. WTO members are not allowed to maintain this type of subsidies.
