Pre-experimental Design

Definition of Pre-experimental Design

The Canada social science dictionary [1] provides the following meaning of Pre-experimental Design: A research design which does not fit the standards of an authentic experiment. Usually undertaken for exploratory purposes. Typical of this design is the elimination of a control group, thus it is often called a single-group experiment. This design will not allow definitive conclusions about the causes of the effect observed.
