The Canada social science dictionary [1] provides the following meaning of Post-industrial Thesis: The theory that modern economies in the Western world have moved from a focus on goods production (an industrial base) to a new foundation of knowledge and sophisticated services. This new economy is assumed to demand different kinds of workers, to allow for more job satisfaction and to foster less labour conflict.
