Pocket part
Pocket part in the One-L Dictionary
A paper-back pamphlet inserted into a book through a slit in its cover (usually the back cover), that updates the information in the book itself. Pocket parts are most often found in statutory codes, digests, and encyclopedias. It is very important that you check the pocket part if you are using a volume that has one. The pocket part in digests will give you additional cases on your topic. Pocket parts in codes will tell you whether your code section has been amended or repealed since the publication of the main volume.
