In relation to securing dangerous material (in case of crisis or terrorism) a meaning of nuclear medicine may be outlined, in general regarding European law, as follows: Nuclear medicine is a branch of medicine and medical imaging that uses radionuclide and relies on the process of radioactive decay in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases (i.e. radiotherapy).[1]
