Millennium Round in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, millennium round is: a name suggested in 1997 by Sir Leon Brittan, then Vice-President of the European Commission, for the new round of multilateral trade negotiations that he and others expected would get under way in about 2000 or 2001. The name did not take on. See also Seattle Ministerial Conference and Doha Ministerial Conference.[1]
