Definition of Micro-perspective

The Canada social science dictionary [1] provides the following meaning of Micro-perspective: A perspective, or form of analysis, which focuses on the individual and their subjectivity, rather than focusing on the structures of society thought to be external and constraining on the individual. This perspective is found in symbolic interactionism, ethnomethodology, labeling theory, interpretive theory.
