Market Access For Agriculture

Market access for agriculture in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, market access for agriculture is: an omnibus term covering the tariffs and tariff quotas negotiated during the Uruguay Round negotiations on agriculture. These negotiations comprised the three key elements of market access, domestic support and export subsidies, all of which had to be accepted as a package. The Uruguay Round restricted the expansion of trade-distorting measures and maintained or opened new access to markets for agricultural products.[1]
