Meaning of Marine Railway
under the Longshoremans and harbor Workers Compensation Act. the term has a specific meaning of a permanently fixed system of tracks or rails which extends from point on shore well above water line to a point of shore well below water line, along which tracks a cradle can move docked ship into or out of water.
