Kimberley process in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, kimberley process is: initiated in 2001 by Southern African countries, and chaired by South Africa, in response to a United Nations Security Council decision to stop the flow of conflict diamonds. The entries on trade policy are here. It involves more than thirty governments, the European Community, the diamond industry and non-governmental organizations. The objectives of the process will be achieved through a system of certification for diamonds traded internationally.[1]
