Istanbul Convention in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, a definition of this issue is as follows: the Customs Convention on Temporary Admission which entered into force on 27 November 1993. This Convention updates the Customs Convention on the ATA Carnet for the Temporary Admission of Goods. The entries on trade policy are here. It created a single instrument to simplify and harmonize temprary admission formalities. Goods admitted temporarily must be re-exported to the country of origin. They must not undergo any transformation while they are under temporary admission. The Convention is administered by the World Customs Organization.[1]
