Identical goods in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, identical goods is: defined in the Agreement on Implementation of Article VII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 (the customs valuation agreement) as goods that are the same in all respects, including physical characteristics, quality and reputation. Minor differences in appareance would not preclude goods otherwise conforming to the definition from being regarded as identical . The entries on trade policy are here. Among other conditions, goods are not regarded as identical goods  unless they were produced in the same country as the goods being valued.
