An European Commission document offers the following explanation about the misused of Homogenise/homogeneous/homogeneously:Homogenise is a rather unusual word in English (only two hits in the British National Corpus) and is most commonly used with reference to milk. ‘Homogeneous’ and ‘homogeneously’ are much more common, but they are more often found in the sciences and social sciences, and are over-used in our texts.
