English Legal System: Health And Safety Commission
In the context of the English law, A Dictionary of Law provides the following legal concept of Health And Safety Commission : A body responsible for furthering the general purposes of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, for example by advising and promoting research and training. It also appoints a Health and Safety Executive, which shares with local authorities responsibility for enforcing the Act and operates for this purpose through such inspectorates as the Factories and Nuclear Installations Inspectorates.
