In this regard, greening the gatt is: a term poularized by Daniel Esty in a book of the same title. The entries on trade policy are here. It expresses a hope of those who would like the WTO to be more responsive to their particular environmental concerns and who see a necessity for the GATT to reflect clearly the aims of environmental protection.
