What is Governmental Agency?
A definition of governmental agency is: A subordinate creature of federal, state or local government created to carry out a governmental function or to implement a statute or statutes. For example, the Federal Trade Commission was created and functions to implement and enforce the Federal Trade Commission Act and various other federal antitrust and consumer protection laws.[1]
