Declaration on the Contribution of the World Trade Organization to Achieving Greater Coherence in Global Economic Policymaking in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, declaration on the contribution of the world trade organization to achieving greater coherence in global economic policymaking is: one of the outcomes of the Marrakesh Ministerial Meeting in April 1994 which formally ended the Uruguay Round. The Declaration says that the positive outcome of the Uruguay Round is to be seen as a major contribution towards more coherent international economic policies. The entries on trade policy are here. It notes that difficulties originating outside the trade field cannot redressed through trade measures alone. The Declaration accordingly invites the Director- General of the WTO to discuss further with the IMF and the IBRD the possible forms of cooperation between the three with a view to achieving greater coherence in global economic policymaking.[1]
