Free riders in Global Commerce Policy

In this regard, free riders is: a casual term used to imply that a country which does not make any trade concessions, profits, nonetheless, from tariff cuts and concessions made by other countries under the most-favoured-nation principle. From an economic perspective, free riders do themselves harm because they deny themselves the benefits of trade liberalization. See also most-favoured- nation treatment.[1]
