In this regard, food for progress program is: a United States program established under the Food Security Act of 1985. The entries on trade policy are here. It encourages agricultural policy reform in developing countries through food donations and sales at concessional prices. Commodities are provided under this program to developing countries and emerging democracies that have committed themselves to some elements of free enterprise in their agricultural economies. The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 renewed the program until 2007.[1]
